The purpose of this gathering was to show appreciation by the municipality, to its female workers for their hard work and making Harry Gwala District Municipality what it is today.
Amongs the dignitaries who blessed the occassion was Public Protector, Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka who stated , “woman are faced with gender based violence even at work, and therefore those who are in senior positions should ensure that the next generation doesn’t encounter the same oppression”.
That we as woman need to protect each other, and ensure that we remain humble no matter what position you are in.
